International Tourism Fair in Belgrade takes place at the same time as The International wine fair “BeoWine”, from February 27th till March 2nd. Naturally we decided to visit wine fair first. It began cheerfully, just as we entered we`ve already been offered with a glass of white wine along with conversation with pleasant presenters from winery Čitluk from Bosnia and Herzegovina, great place and great wine.

Stands were lined with smiling and happy hosts, definitely BeoWine is highlight among Belgrade exhibitions, probable reason is that good and unspoiled atmosphere. Some of exhibition spaces were really originally decorated. Probably the most photographed booth was Stobi winery, which had whole wall decorated with wine glasses filled with different wines.

Same as every year, exhibitors have tried to come up with diverse offer range and to attract potential tourists. In addition to the classic travel arrangements, some countries made the complete experience to visitors of their exhibition stands in cooperation with their embassies in Belgrade.

We were able to enjoy in traditional music, food, costumes etc. It seems that more and more importance is given to promotion of traditional crafts and handcrafts, which is super interesting for spectator, especially when having in mind distant cultures. Visitor could see how women weave in Algeria or how pottery vessels are made in Tunisia.

Among traditional dances and games stood out belly dancer from Egypt and her seductive dance, which hypnotized mostly male audience 😉 Visitors were able to enjoy Thai cuisine, to try the Algerian sweets, to drink Indonesian coffee or eat Serbian ham and sausage… Pleasant surprise were students of The college of hotel management Belgrade, who presented their wonderfully  dishes and cooking skills. Enjoying the colorful fair, we got the impression that we walked the world in short time, from this impression we called the story “Around the World in 80 Minutes” 🙂
